About the role

Your Opportunity at ARC’TERYX:

As the Manager, Functional Development - Guest Services you drive engaging and role-based learning for global Guest Services. You will lead highly dynamic teams and partner with delivery functions across the organization to drive scalability and continuity in learning. This role works in close partnership with the NAM, EMEA, and APAC guest service teams, as well global retail teams.

You will create the framework for new ways of working and form valuable relationships with key cross functional partners. You will have a critical role in setting the annual objective and strategic plan for guest facing departments at Arc’teryx.

This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada.

We seek to drive greater alignment, to develop and foster rapport, to create trust and maintain partnership throughout the organization. As the Manager, Functional Development - Guest Services, you will lead a team that designs foundational and role-specific learning that supports global growth. Your role will directly contribute to building the knowledge, confidence, and consistency required to activate Guest Services at scale — helping deliver on our commitment to product knowledge, exceptional guest experience, and leadership development. You will also support in the intersection between Guest Services and Global Retail strategy and enablement.

If you were in the Manager, Functional Development - Guest Services role now, here are some of the core activities you would be doing:

  • Driving annual Global Guest Service strategic initiatives aligned to Talent Management and regional Guest Service priorities.
  • Designing and maintaining comprehensive Guest Service training curriculum aligned to brand standards and business priorities, appropriate for guest-facing environments.
  • Managing program scope, learning design, and pass-off learning to Guest Services delivery teams
  • Capturing regional needs, making recommendations on regional solutions, and escalating global training needs through existing channels
  • Building key relationships with regional delivery teams and leaders to align global talent development efforts and growth goals
  • Partnering with regions to ensure they are equipped to deliver successful learning, and share back feedback for program evolution
  • Using learner data, guest feedback, and operational metrics to continuously improve learner programs

Here are some of the things you could be working on in the future:

  • Managing multiple training initiatives simultaneously, ensuring timely completion, and stakeholder alignment
  • Creating resource plan and Opex to meet needs for guest services programs that scale and grow with the organizations peak period
  • Partnering with Talent Operations to co-lead Global Retail & Guest Service initiative intake cycle, capturing regional needs and drafting annual team initiatives
  • Solving for areas of opportunity in learning design and operational functions within Talent Management as related to Guest Services.
  • Partnering with functional leaders to scale regional maturity using best practices that accelerate people growth and readiness

Are you our next Manager, Functional Development - Guest Services?

  • You have 5+ years in training design, learning development, or talent development, with a strong focus on guest-facing or frontline roles
  • You have experience leading multi-faceted projects with change management as a key deliverable
  • You have familiarity with LMS platforms, learning technologies, and digital authoring tools
  • You have strong prioritization and time management skills in a fast-paced setting
  • You have the ability and willingness to travel globally for key initiatives and learning moments
  • You are proactive in identifying the root cause of issues and developing solutions
  • You remain highly flexible and adaptable when faced with ambiguity
  • You effectively balance autonomy and collaboration
  • You inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement
  • You seek the best (sometimes not the easiest) solutions, with an unwavering commitment to leaving it better

Compensation:

The salary range for this role is CAD$108,000 - CAD$142,000

This range reflects market alignment and the scope of the role. Individual pay is determined by your skills, experience, and level of responsibility.
