Role Overview:
The Advanced Analytics team within Fidelity Canada ULC’s finance department supports various business units and the senior executive team at fulfilling advanced analytical and reporting requirements. In collaboration with IT, the team works with internal clients on augmenting analytics into their operations as well as identifying and communicating significant business trends.
The Analyst, Advanced Analytics role plans, designs, develops, and deploys reporting and analytics throughout the organization, while objectively evaluating the effectiveness of various sales and marketing activities using appropriate data mining techniques.
What You Will Do:
- Marketing, events, sales campaign analysis (AB tests, Pre vs. Post)
- Support sales and marketing targeted campaigns
- Participate in customer level analytical/research projects
- Research and prototype advanced statistical/AI models
- Complete ad-hoc requests for analysis, data extraction and information gathering
- R&D new analytical tools and techniques
- Augment periodic management reporting
- Works with tech groups to identify and resolve any data, environment, or implementation issues
What We’re Looking For:
- Completion of University degree (Engineering, Math/Statistics or Computer Science related) or equivalent work experience
- Over 2-3 years of relevant work experience
- Experience employing various statistical modelling and data analysis techniques, such as linear / logistic regression, decision trees, affinity analysis, clustering/segmentation and time series forecasting
- Experience deciphering complex data and effectively communicating results to management
- Enjoy building solutions and are comfortable writing codes and using analytical tools such as Knime
- Experience with visualization software (Tableau, Power BI), Python and SQL
- Experience applying advanced consumer intelligence / marketing techniques
- Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Access and PowerPoint
The Following are Assets:
- Knowledge and experience in financial services, with a focus on the investment industry
- Experience in Data Pipeline design and GIS software
- Experience in developing and maintaining Python models.
- Certification in MS Office, SAS, KNIME, Snowflake, Tableau
The Expertise You Bring:
- Ability to communicate quantitative data into a visually engaging story
- Experience applying advanced consumer intelligence / marketing techniques
- Experience deciphering complex data and effectively communicating results to stakeholders
- Excellent time management skills with ability to work in a high performing culture with time sensitive deadlines
- Solid interpersonal and organizational skills combined with the ability to adapt to rapidly changing business environments
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team; a self-starter with a positive attitude
- Genuine interest in capital markets, financial industry, banking, future state of technology like artificial intelligence & machine learning
You will be working on a flexible hybrid schedule as part of Fidelity’s dynamic working arrangement.
