The Role
Working within the compliance and licensing team, you will support the consistent application of Cameco’s quality management program (QMP) at its Saskatchewan mining and milling facilities. This junior level position is an excellent opportunity for growth and learning where you will be mentored and supported as you begin your career.
In this role, you will:
- Providing subject matter expertise and project specific support
- Coordinating operating experience among the mining division interests
- Executing inspection, audit, and investigation activities
- Ensure quality of the corrective action and document management processes
- Preparing and reviewing reports for submission to regulatory agencies.
- Developing standardized procedures to ensure consistent application of safety, health, environment, and quality processes at mining division facilities.
- Providing support and oversight related to incident tracking and follow-up (investigations and corrective actions) and management of change processes.
- Auditing of document control processes to ensure conformance to internal standards.
Required:

Recent graduate with a bachelor’s degree in science, engineering, business, or a quality systems related field (or equivalent combination of experience and education)

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Occasional travel to Cameco’s various locations
Recommended:

Knowledge or experience in the nuclear industry

Experience working with database applications

Interest in obtaining The American Society for Quality (ASQ) or a professional engineer (P.Eng) designation
