About the role
Temporary UTILITY OPERATOR E (SEASONAL) - WATERSEWER
The City of Martensville has two openings for full-time temporary (Seasonal) UTILITY OPERATOR E's in the WaterSewer department.
SCHEDULE:
- Full-Time, Monday to Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm.
- The 2026 employment period will be April 27 to October 23.
This role performs a wide variety of duties and is responsible for the following:
JOB DUTIES:

Assisting with regular maintenance and repairs of watersewer infrastructure.

Maintenance and repairs at the municipal lagoon.

Operating small equipment for Public Works.

Minor maintenance of small equipment.

Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Applicants must:
- Be safety conscious and demonstrate a high level of attentiveness to their own personal safety as well as that of their co-workers and the public.
- Be available for work April 27 to October 23, 2026.
- Be able to perform physically strenuous work and to work outdoors under various weather conditions.
- Have their Grade 12 diploma and a valid Class 5 Driver's License.
- While policies and safe work practices are in place to minimize risk of contact, Hepatitis AB (TwinRix), Tetanus, and Diptheria vaccinations are required.
- Experience in equipment operation, general labour, or construction is preferred.
- Municipal work experience is considered an asset.
- Applicants are subject to a criminal record check.
RATE OF PAY:
- As per CUPE local Agreement 2026 Rate: (Probationary $25.85/hr, Non-Probationary $28.72/hr)
