Location: Brantford

**Shifts:**Typical shifts are 12-hour Continental (7 to 7), days/nights

A Finished Product Technician ensures that products meet quality, safety, and customer requirements before they leave the plant. They act as the quality checkpoint between production and the customer.

What you will do?

  • Conduct regular Quality auditing of all production lines and work closely with the QA Coordinator, Plant Management and Shift Supervisors to ensure that leadership are aware of potential quality and food safety issues.
  • Product inspection and testing.
  • Work closely with Operational and Engineering support during new products and/or materials development.
  • Work with Sales to ensure customer requirements are met (labeling, pack sizes, special quality requirements, etc.).
  • Maintain detailed and accurate documentation (i.e. verification & filing of records, label preparations).
  • Understand and train (if required) Quality and Food Safety system (SQF, HACCP) cleaning practices and requirements.
  • Provide additional support for changeovers, maintaining the sample room and helping monitor first production runs or new products as required.
  • The role is subject to the Collective Agreement between Amhil and Workers United Canada Council (WUCC).

What will you bring?

  • AGreat Attitude!
  • 3–5 years of QA/QC experience in a manufacturing environment; post‑secondary education in a related field or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Strong English communication skills (verbal and written), with the ability to complete labels, reports, and checklists accurately.
  • Comfortable working in manufacturing conditions (heat, humidity, noise, dust) and wearing required PPE.
  • Solid computer skills (PC, iPad, MS Office; Minitab required, DataMyte an asset).
  • Ability to distinguish colours, lift 10–15 kg (35–40 lbs) regularly, and stand for extended periods.
  • Flexible to work varying schedules and shift changes as operational needs evolve.
  • Knowledge of Amhil products or plastic thermoforming processes is considered an asset.
