About the role
PACT (Pearson Accelerator Construction Team) is a General Partnership of Alberici, Amico, Kenaidan, and Obayashi, supported by design partners Egis, Mott MacDonald, and Weston Williamson + Partners. Together, we are delivering Accelerator, a major program of Pearson LIFT (Long-term Investment in Facilities and Terminals), Toronto Pearson's infrastructure development plan. This multi-year program is designed to address immediate passenger growth demands while preparing Canada’s largest airport for the future of air travel—including critical upgrades to airfield and infrastructure, greenhouse gas reduction initiatives, modernization of Terminals 1 and 3, and the creation of a world-class passenger experience.
JOB SUMMARY
As the Senior Project Manager – Structural, you will lead the planning and execution of all structural components within the Pearson Airport Accelerator Program. You will be responsible for overseeing design integration, procurement, and construction of key structural systems including terminal buildings, bridges, canopies, and supporting infrastructure. This position requires a strong background in structural engineering, aviation delivery experience, and the ability to manage multidisciplinary teams in a high-security, complex environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead the structural delivery strategy and execution for terminal, airside, and landside scopes.

Oversee coordination between structural designers, architects, and MEP/civil disciplines to ensure integration and constructability.

Manage the review and approval of structural design deliverables, shop drawings, and construction submittals.

Monitor site progress, quality control, and compliance with structural specifications, codes, and safety standards.

Work closely with GTAA stakeholders to ensure alignment on structural requirements and interface points.

Supervise contractors and subcontractors to ensure delivery of structural work within schedule and budget.

Support procurement by contributing to structural scope definition, tender evaluation, and contract award processes.

Lead resolution of field issues and constructability challenges through proactive engagement with design and construction teams.

Ensure all works are coordinated in compliance with RAIC requirements and airside safety/access protocols.

Provide regular reporting to project leadership and contribute to strategic planning for phased construction and handover.
WORK CONDITIONS
The position will be based at our offices in Mississauga, Ontario, with regular visits to the site offices as required. This position is 5 days per week with core hours of work between approximately 8:00am–5:00pm with 1 hour Lunch or as agreed upon with your manager.
All employees must complete a RAIC and Criminal background check.
DESIRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, COMPETENCIES

10+ years of experience delivering large-scale structural works, ideally within aviation or transit infrastructure.

P.Eng. designation in Ontario with a degree in structural or civil engineering.

Proven ability to manage structural scopes from design through to completion.

Familiarity with Canadian building codes, GTAA standards, and working in secure airport environments.

Strong project management, leadership, and stakeholder communication skills.

Experience using structural design review tools and construction coordination platforms (e.g., Bluebeam, BIM 360, Navisworks, Primavera P6).
