Head of Global Operations & Infrastructure

Mississauga, Ontario
C Level
Full-Time

About the role

Why This Role Exists

TempAid has done something most companies never do: earned world-class technical credibility before the operational infrastructure caught up. We are the only ISTA Standard 20 Certified Testing Lab in Canada. We manufacture across four countries through our Mississauga facility and our affiliate manufacturing partner, Rapid Aid (China, Vietnam, USA). We move temperature-sensitive pharmaceutical and life science products for some of the most compliance-demanding customers in the world.

We are growing. Fast. And growth at this pace creates one defining challenge: building the operational engine while the car is already moving.

That is what this role is. Not a maintenance job. Not a title. A genuine mandate to design, build, and lead the global operations infrastructure that will carry TempAid through its next decade.

What You’ll Own

The Global Operations Strategy

You will set the direction, not execute someone else’s plan. You’ll assess our full operational footprint across Mississauga manufacturing, Rapid Aid affiliate facilities, and our 3PL network, and make the strategic calls on capacity, structure, and geographic expansion. Make vs buy decisions, new facility readiness, footprint optimization: this lands on your desk.

Purchasing, Forecasting & Demand Planning

This is the engine room of the role. You will build the discipline that connects our sales forecast to our purchasing decisions to our production schedules, creating a structured, repeatable S&OP process that gives TempAid visibility and control over its supply chain. You will own supplier negotiations, MOQs, lead times, freight strategy, and landed cost, and you will be the person who finally closes the gap between what we’re selling and what we’re buying.

Manufacturing Operations

You will provide senior leadership over our Mississauga manufacturing operation and oversee production planning with Rapid Aid across China, Vietnam, and the USA. The goal is not just efficiency. It is building the systems, governance, and accountability structures that make excellence repeatable at scale.

Supply Chain & 3PL Network

You will professionalize our 3PL partnerships, moving from relationship management to performance management. Inventory positioning strategy across North America and international markets. Freight and warehousing discipline. A distribution network built to absorb growth without breaking.

The Team

You will lead and develop the senior operations team, including direct management of our Director of Operations, and build the bench strength TempAid needs to operate globally. You’ll define what great looks like, hire toward it, and build a culture where accountability is the norm and operational excellence is a point of pride.

Who We’re Looking For

You’ve done this before. Not in a Fortune 500 with unlimited resources and a mature playbook, but in a company that was growing faster than its infrastructure and needed someone to build the system, not just run it.

You know what a well-functioning S&OP process looks like because you’ve built one. You’ve managed contract or affiliate manufacturing relationships across multiple countries and understand the coordination, trust, and rigor that requires. You’ve evaluated a 3PL network with fresh eyes and made hard decisions about who stays, who goes, and what gets restructured.

You are equally comfortable in a strategic conversation with the executive team and on the floor of a manufacturing facility working through a production problem. You don’t wait to be handed a framework. You create it, pressure-test it, and make it better.

You are energized by:

  • Building structure in environments where the opportunity is clear but the systems are not yet
  • Owning a P&L-connected mandate, not just a functional one
  • Making decisions with real consequences and real visibility
  • Leading teams that are capable and ready for a strong hand at the helm

This is not the role for you if:

  • You need established processes before you can lead effectively
  • You measure success by the smoothness of the operation you inherited
  • You’ve spent your career optimizing what already works and have never built from a blank page

Experience & Qualifications

  • 12+ years of progressive operations leadership, with demonstrated experience scaling an operation through a high-growth phase, not just managing a stable one
  • Proven track record designing or implementing S&OP and integrated demand planning processes
  • Direct experience managing affiliate or contract manufacturing relationships, multi-country preferred
  • Strong command of purchasing strategy: supplier negotiations, MOQs, lead times, landed cost optimization
  • Experience managing 3PL networks with real performance accountability
  • Multi-site and/or global operations experience
  • Sharp financial and analytical instincts: you understand the working capital implications of every inventory decision
  • A leadership style that is hands-on without being a bottleneck, strategic without losing operational depth
  • Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Engineering, Business, or related field

What TempAid Offers

A direct reporting line to the CEO and genuine influence over the company’s strategic direction. The authority to build a global operations function, not inherit one. A technically excellent product, a credible brand, and a market that values precision and compliance above all else. A team that is capable, committed, and ready to be led well.

Five years from now, TempAid will operate with a supply chain discipline, an S&OP rhythm, and a 3PL network that did not exist before this person walked in. The systems you build here will outlast your tenure. The team you develop will carry this company into its next phase.
