Role

Systech is seeking to hire a highly qualified and technically proficient Director with a proven track record of developing client relationships, managing teams and working as a contracts / claims manager in construction projects. This is a diverse role that requires leadership, interpersonal, technical, and business development skills.

You will work closely with our Regional Managing Director, Canada, assisting him in continuing to grow our business in the region. You will divide your time between managing strategic client relationships, leading on fee earning assignments, overseeing staff, recruitment, and business development.

You will need to work hard and achieve strong performance levels. In return you will have a clearly defined route to a senior management position within a leading consultancy. It suits someone who enjoys working closely with key clients, priding themselves on delivering an exceptional service.

The ideal candidate will have prior experience of preparing claims and leading commercial teams on major infrastructure projects. This is a consultancy environment, and you must therefore be able to demonstrate an ability to effectively interact with both internal and external stakeholders.

Responsibilities

To prepare a business plan and strive towards achieving its objectives

To develop relationships with Systech’s existing client base To establish relationships with new target clients To positively contribute to a business development focussed culture To work collaboratively with the management team across Systech’s international offices To manage and build teams, fostering strong relationships with your reports To lead assignments and provide a reliable and high-quality service To advise of dispute avoidance and resolution strategy To advise clients on their claims strategy and prepare claims To assist more junior members of staff with their career development To be positive and proactive, overcoming obstacles and finding a way to win

Individual

BSc (Hons) in Quantity Surveying

A Member of The Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (preferred) Legal qualification (LLM) (preferred) Local knowledge / experience of the Canadian market (preferred).

Strong oral and written communication and presentation skills

Presentable and articulate Analytical and methodical Collaborative and able to work towards a common goal Dynamic and passionate career focused individual Embrace innovation and new ideas
