Essential Duties and Responsibilities
To enable that Gates Canada, Brantford Operations meet its business plan objectives through the performance of pick planning orders and accuracy of receipts.
Scope of Role
- Reports to the Warehouse Operations Manager, Gates Canada Inc., Brantford
- Responsible for planning, coordinating, and optimizing the order-picking process at Gates Distribution Center
- Ensuring products are picked correctly and efficiently to meet customer deadlines
- Responsible for completing export paperwork, validation and entry of receiving documents
- Purchase and maintain office supply levels
- Backup to the Supervisor
- Approve and process all Traffics invoices
- Work closely with order service to ensure orders flow out the door in timely manner
- Investigate problems and issues regarding shipping claims.
Required Skills
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Must have attention to detail to ensure accuracy of inventory
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Responsible for correcting any errors found and follow up with corrective action
- Ability to organize time and plan ahead
- Must deal with constant deadlines and change of priorities
- Exceptional communications skills (verbal & written) to effectively interact with a variety of personnel
- Flexibility with schedule as required
- Must be able to drive PIV. Pick/Planner
- Must be able to work at heights
Education and Experience

Minimum grade 12 Secondary education

Must have a minimum of one year's experience in Production Planning and/or warehouse experience.

Must have a good understanding of inventory system and cycle counting procedures.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft word

Experience with AS/400 systems is preferred but not mandatory.
Physical Demands
While performing the required duties of this job, the employee is often required to sit; use hands to reach, handle, manipulate and feel objects, tools, and controls. The employee will need to listen and talk to other employees. Specific vision capabilities required as the employee is to work in front of a computer on a day-to-day basis.
Working Environment
The noise level is moderate, lighting is mild, and the space is comfortable. Dust levels are existent but minimal. The temperature is always consistent, keeping the employees comfortable.
