What is the opportunity?
The Central Support Group (CSG) is part of RBC Royal Trust Risk and Regulatory Initiatives team which is a head office team of highly skilled estate and trust professionals. CSG contributes to the overall success and efficiency of the business by conducting account oversight reviews, risk monitoring and reporting, and other risk related initiatives.

What will you do?
- Key support to account oversight review reporting. Activities include monitoring completion rates /progress for account opening, ongoing and annual risk monitoring activities.
- Key support to the account oversight and new account review. Activities include auditing accounts opened for necessary documentation and information, and escalating missed items to management for further review and remediation.
- Key support to enhancing risk reporting for clarity and effectiveness. Tasks include analyzing existing data collection processes and providing recommendations for improvements, providing in-depth data analysis for trends and patterns; and enhancements to data visualization.
- Assist with control testing activities, including evidence gathering, process documentation updating, and communications with stakeholders.
- Assist with updating dashboard process documents, job aids, FAQs and training sessions to ensure accurate and up to date records are shared and maintained.
- Assist with assigned risk and regulatory projects that require research, analysis and creative problem solving.
- Contributing to the overall success of the RBC Royal Trust business by providing support to the other head office teams with various initiatives, as assigned.
What do you need to succeed?
Must haves:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, Economics or other related fieldProficient in the full suite of Microsoft Products, including Excel (macros, pivots, etc.), Word and PowerPoint
- Technical proficiency, comfortable with learning new software and working with large amounts of data and experience with data visualization tools
- Strong data analysis skills, with the ability to identify, manage, analyze and interpret data to present insights through reports and dashboards
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, presenting findings effectively and drafting recommendations both verbally and in writing
- Highly organized with good attention to detail and very high level of accuracy and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced and deadline driven environment
- Strong personal skills and the ability to work effectively independently and within a team environment
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with trust and estate accounts/business
- Proficiency in SQL for database queries and experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau
- Develop creative problem-solving and analytical skills to drive decision-making and enhance business objectives
