JOB RESPONSIBILITIES: As an important member of our Finance team you will:
- Responsible for full cycle day to day financial accounting, including journal entries and monthly financial analysis, to ensure timely and accurate reporting of monthly financial results for Business Units
- Prepare monthly financial reports including Income Statement and variance analysis.
- Co-ordinate and consolidate the annual budget, along with quarterly revisions and monthly updates for Business Units
- Track and report various weekly and monthly business indicators
- Liaise with the various Business Unit Managers and members of the division leadership team to provide support as required
- Review account reconciliations including prepayment and accruals schedules on monthly basis.
- Prepare monthly commissions schedule for payroll processing
- Prepare ad hoc financial analysis as required by Management
- Work with Jonas Corporate Finance in implementing accounting process changes subject to CSI and/or IFRS guidelines.
- Manage 2 direct reports.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS:
- Attained a Business/Finance degree (i.e. BBA, Comm. etc.) with preference given to those with relevant further study/designations (CGA/CA)
- Minimum of 5 – 7 years’ experience working in a Finance/Accounting role preferred.
- Advanced skills and experience in MS Office Excel
- Excellent administrative and organizational skills with ability to set priorities, adjust and respond professionally to changing priorities and ad hoc issues
- Excellent communication and interpersonal savviness skills with a proven ability to interact with all levels of management. Possesses strong leadership/command skills and demonstrates organizational agility
- Experience managing, coaching and guiding direct and indirect reports and building an effective team
- Excellent technical learning, analytical and problem solving skills
- Experience with Great Plains accounting software an asset
