Management Professional (MP)
The Maintenance Manager, Shepard Energy Centre plays a pivotal leadership role, responsible for managing a broad and demanding maintenance portfolio that supports continuous plant operations. This position leads high-volume maintenance activities across multiple disciplines, balancing daily execution with long range planning to ensure safe, reliable, and cost effective asset performance.
Accountable for CMMS oversight, plant inventory, and a sizeable maintenance team, the Maintenance Manager works closely with operations and engineering to deliver timely, professional maintenance outcomes that maximize plant performance and business objectives.
Major Responsibilities:

Responsible for ensuring that maintenance personnel have all necessary skills. training and certifications needed for completion of their role Accountable for purchasing and receiving equipment, materials, process supplies and contract labor for maintenance and operating requirements.

Accountable to provide input and implement Standards and Procedures required for the safe and responsible maintenance of all equipment as well as CMMS work management, reliability centered maintenance and purchasing and inventory control..

Accountable for the development of long range maintenance plans for major equipment based on sound maintenance and reliability practices and OEM recommendations for the plant life cycle and for one to five years in sufficient detail to allow zero based budgeting. Responsible for developing and updating life cycle of plant major maintenance plan for all major equipment.

Accountable for managing all maintenance related supplier relationships including, but not limited to, craft labor, predictive maintenance services, specialized services, and qualified repair companies.
Education Required:
-
An Engineering Degree and capable of being registered in APPEGA, or a First-Class Power Engineering Certificate or an instrument, electrical, millwright journeyman ticket with extensive supervisory experience.
Qualifications & Experience:
-
Minimum of 10 years maintenance experience, including at least 3 years of supervisory experience with in a power generation facility. Combustion turbine and or steam turbine maintenance experience would be an asset. Experience in planning, scheduling and supervising maintenance teams and contractors is essential.

In addition to a high level of operations knowledge, this position requires skill and experience in the instrument, electrical and mechanical maintenance fields and specifically with the repair and maintenance practices of combustion turbines.

Combustion turbine and/or steam turbine maintenance experience would be an asset.
