About the role

Location: Haleon Pharma, Ville St Laurent

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 7 am to 4 pm, but must be flexible for on call and weekend work.

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Facilities Manager to oversee the staff and contractors for various services, including reprographic services, mail room, employee store, pest control services, laboratory support services, utilities and site equipment, asset management, and calibration. The ideal candidate will ensure the delivery of high-quality services, maintain safety compliance, and drive cost efficiencies. This role requires strong leadership skills, technical expertise, and the ability to proactively resolve issues.

Now, If You Were To Come On Board As a Facilities Manager, We’d Ask You To Do The Following For Us

Serve as the backup for the Soft Services Manager and District Manager. Inspect the worksite daily and on an ongoing basis to ensure the delivery of services is consistent with work specifications and required quality assurance standards. Review operations efficiencies and assist the District Manager in improving and upgrading standards. Drive cost efficiencies, provide technical advice, troubleshoot problems, and proactively resolve issues. Ensure the safety of all personnel, address safety concerns, and ensure that equipment is in safe working condition. Ensure all accidents and/or property damage are reported following company policy/contract. Administer appropriate corrective disciplinary action when necessary. Verify that the work is completed and of high quality. Assist in troubleshooting utilities-related issues and repairs as a subject matter expert. Develop a solid communication link with the ESFM team and the client. Lead the yearly PM schedule for the site and ensure work is completed on time. Support Quarterly Business Review meetings and update the agenda. Manage client audits and ensure documentation is compiled ahead of time. Attend client operations meetings and keep teams abreast of all activities. Submit reports for any impact on production, loss of utilities, fire alarms, and severe injuries. Other responsibilities as assigned by the management.

Demonstrated experience in facilities contract governance and compliance. College Diploma or a university degree. Proven experience in facilities management, preferably in food or pharmaceutical manufacturing. Strong leadership and supervisory skills. Excellent communication and organizational abilities. Ability to manage budgets and monitor expenditures. Technical expertise in maintenance and repair services. Knowledge of safety compliance and audit procedures. Ability to read, understand, and interpret technical documentation. Skilled with MS Office: Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams. Proficiency in managing subordinate personnel and providing technical guidance.

GMP experience is an asset

SAP experience is an asset Solid interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written) in French. Proven experience in project management, procurement, contracts, bids, and quotes. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both French and English. Proficiency in English is required to communicate daily with head office, partners, and assigned suppliers at the national level, as well as with sponsors.
