Senior Mechanical Engineer Location: Markham, Ontario Employment Type: Full time, On site Salary: $80,000 - $100,000
We’re looking for a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join our client's Markham team and support the design and delivery of building systems across commercial, multi‑residential, institutional, government, and industrial projects.
What You’ll Do Design HVAC, hydronic, plumbing, and fire protection systems Prepare drawings, specs, reports, and HVAC load calculations (HAP) Coordinate with architects, engineers, and project managers Review designs for compliance with OBC, ASHRAE, NFPA, CSA Attend site meetings, perform site reviews, and support contract administration Contribute to proposals and support project delivery from concept to construction
What You Bring 5+ years of mechanical building services experience EIT or P.Eng (one required) Strong knowledge of building codes and mechanical design standards Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Carrier HAP, MS Office Experience with HVAC schematics, equipment selection, and construction detailing Strong communication, organization, and time‑management skills Valid driver’s license and regular access to a vehicle
Nice to Have Experience with renovations and multi‑unit residential projects Familiarity with contract administration and shop drawing reviews Interest in business development
