🌟 About the Role We’re looking for a detail‑oriented Payroll & Benefits Analyst to join our team in Montreal. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, enjoys solving problems, and has a strong command of end‑to‑end payroll processing in Canada—particularly Quebec. While payroll will be your primary focus, you’ll also support the administration of employee benefits programs and contribute to process improvements across the HR and Finance functions.
🧾 Key Responsibilities Payroll Process full-cycle, multi-provincial payroll with a strong emphasis on Quebec payroll requirements. Ensure accuracy and compliance with federal and provincial legislation, including CNESST, QPP, QPIP, and Revenu Québec guidelines. Maintain payroll records, audit data, and reconcile discrepancies. Prepare and submit statutory remittances, year-end reporting (T4, RL‑1), and government filings. Respond to employee payroll inquiries with clarity and professionalism. Collaborate with Finance on payroll journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end reporting. Support system updates, testing, and enhancements related to payroll software.
Benefits Administration Assist with the administration of group benefits programs (health, dental, disability, retirement plans). Process enrollments, changes, and terminations in benefits systems. Liaise with benefits providers to resolve employee questions or issues. Support annual benefits renewals, audits, and communication initiatives. Help maintain accurate benefits data and documentation.
🎯 Qualifications 3+ years of payroll experience, ideally in a multi-provincial Canadian environment. Strong knowledge of Quebec payroll legislation and related statutory requirements. Experience with benefits administration or exposure to benefits processes. Proficiency with payroll systems (ADP, Workday, Ceridian Dayforce, or similar). Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data.
