Lease Administrator
Job Type: Contract until June '27. Pay Rate: Up to $47/hr DOE (T4). Location: 3 days onsite, downtown Calgary.
Your New Company
Our client is a well-established energy organization with a large corporate real estate portfolio; they are looking for a Lease Administrator to join their team and support the administration, documentation, reporting, and financial management of leased properties.
Your New Role
As a Lease Administrator, you will be responsible for supporting the full lease lifecycle across a corporate real estate portfolio. You will work closely with internal stakeholders, landlords, legal counsel, vendors, and finance teams to ensure lease agreements, payments, reporting, and documentation are managed accurately and efficiently.
Key responsibilities include
Support lease renewals, amendments, assignments, and terminations Coordinate the review, preparation, execution, and filing of lease and real estate documents Act as a liaison between landlords, legal counsel, business units, and external stakeholders Maintain accurate lease records, critical dates, and supporting documentation Manage document workflows and coordinate execution of agreements Process vendor setup and maintenance requests Upload and maintain lease data within lease administration systems Support lease accounting and financial reporting requirements Process rent payments and lease-related invoices Perform payment reconciliations and investigate discrepancies Manage subtenant invoicing and rental revenue tracking Assist with budgeting, rent forecasting, variance reporting, and portfolio analysis Ensure lease files remain organized, accurate, and audit-ready
What You'll Need to Succeed
3+ years of lease / property administration, commercial real estate, or related experience Strong understanding of commercial lease documentation and administration processes Experience managing critical dates, lease abstractions, and lease records Exposure to lease accounting standards such as ASC 842 and/or IFRS 16 is an asset Experience with lease administration, ERP, or property management systems Strong Microsoft Excel skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
