Overview This position is based at our Orillia plant and will be working in the Iron Shop to fabricate steel structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Experienced in sign fabrication.
- Welding license (47.1) is an asset.
- Must be able to read technical drawings
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints
- Perform quality, accurate, and timely work
- Welds steel structures
- Measure and cut various types of steel on horizontal band saw
- Operate hand tools and power tools to secure parts in place
- Lifting, carrying, and moving materials as needed
- Follow safety guidelines and procedures at all times
- Maintain the organization and cleanliness of the shop area
- Other work-related duties assigned by supervisor
QUALIFICATIONS And COMPETENCIES
- Welding license (47.1) is an asset
- 2 years of welding steel
- Self-motivated and reliable
- Able to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in reading technical drawings
