Basic Function and Scope:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our team

within the Long-Term Care Home. In this role, the RN serves as a trusted mentor and

clinical resource, guiding team members while ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality

resident care. This position is ideal for a nurse who is passionate about long-term care,

thrives in a collaborative environment, and is committed to supporting others in their

professional development.

Hours of Work:

Rotating shifts (days, evenings, nights, and weekends), as required

Pay Rate:

$40.24-$57.68

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Education

Education:

  • Graduate of a Registered Nursing Program;

  • Current B.C.L.S Certification;

  • Current A.C.L.S. Certification;

  • Registration

  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) in good standing.

  • Experience

  • Experience in long-term care, gerontology, or a related healthcare setting is preferred.

  • Required Skills

  • Demonstrated leadership, mentorship, and coaching skills

  • Strong critical thinking, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on collaboration and resident-centered care.

  • Physical Requirements

The applicant must be able to meet the physical demands of this position.

Basic Life Support Training, Advanced Cardiac Life Support Training, Pediatric Advanced Life Support Training and Canadian Triage and Acuity Scale Training are all provided in house to RNs & RPNs in applicable areas. LACGH is located within a Rural community, as such any Nurse employed at LACGH for more than 1year will be eligible for Canada Student Loan forgiveness through the Government of Canada**.**
