What You’ll Do

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair vehicles using diagnostic tools; perform required maintenance, part replacements, and test drives/operations as needed.
  • Conduct routine and preventative maintenance, including CVIP inspections; accurately document service records and coordinate parts procurement.
  • Collaborate with technicians, management, and drivers to meet shop schedules and priorities while adhering to all safety, environmental, and HR procedures in compliance with OH&S and inspection standards.
  • Maintain a clean and safe workspace; communicate effectively with team members; support and mentor apprentices, recommend training needs, and participate in company training programs as required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Journeyperson Heavy Equipment Technician (HET) or a 4th Year Apprentice
  • CVIP (Commercial Vehicle Inspection Program) License, or a willingness to obtain one within the probationary period
  • 2–5 years of relevant experience, with previous work as a Journeyperson Mechanic considered an asset
  • Valid Class 5 driver’s license
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making skills
  • Solid knowledge of Health & Safety practices, including OH&S regulations, with strong attention to detail
  • Employment is subject to a satisfactory background check and pre-employment drug and alcohol screening

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Prior experience maintaining transit vehicles or a large fleet
  • Experience Work Order Management Applications
  • Class 1, 2 or 3 license with Q (Air Endorsement)

What We Offer

  • $45.50 - $48.50 per/hour based on relevant work experience & certifications

  • Mechanical work is performed on various busses including Motorcoaches in a secure, well-maintained facility that ensures a clean, organized, and safe environment for our mechanics.
  • This role may involve occasional travel, depending on operational requirements.
