About the role

Urgent Hiring: IT Support Specialist – Systems, Field & Vendor Operations

Location: Greater Toronto Area (Concord, ON) + Occasional National Travel + (On-site / Hybrid) Engagement: 6-Month Contract to Permanent (Path to Permanent Full-Time Conversion) Start Date: Immediate

Are you an articulate, customer-focused IT Specialist with strong Microsoft 365 administration skills, structured troubleshooting discipline, and the polish to represent IT across corporate, retail, and vendor environments?

This is not a passive, queue-sitting helpdesk job. Structured as a true career growth role, the IT Manager actively invests in candidates who want to expand their technical and operational scope. Strong performers are positioned for an early pathway toward permanent, full-time employment after the initial 6-month contract.

What We Are Looking For

Proven Microsoft 365 & Cloud Identity Core: 3+ years of experience administering Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive), Active Directory, Entra ID (Azure AD), and Intune MDM. You can clearly articulate step-by-step diagnostic workflows for complex M365/cloud issues.

Business-Facing Communication & Polish: Excellent verbal and written communication. You possess the poise to interface directly with corporate executives, retail teams, warehouse managers, and global technology vendors without needing a buffer.

User Lifecycle Rigor: Experience executing complete user onboarding, offboarding, account provisioning, licensing, and endpoint deployment.

Proactive Vendor & Asset Management: Proven track record coordinating with third-party vendors for hardware warranty management, parts replacements, and service escalations while maintaining accurate IT asset inventories.

Retail & Warehouse Familiarity: Comfortable troubleshooting peripheral hardware (enterprise label printers, receipt printers, POS systems/payment terminals, and barcode scanners) in corporate, warehouse, and retail environments.

Flexibility & Driving License: Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel occasionally across Canada to assist with site setups and Factory Direct Sale (FDS) events.

Key Responsibilities

L1/L2 Corporate & Field Support: Provide prompt, high-touch technical support for desktops, laptops, printers, M365 applications, and mobile devices across office, warehouse, and retail locations.

Identity & Account Lifecycle: Manage end-to-end user account provisioning, access controls, M365 licensing, and Intune enrollment during onboarding and offboarding.

System & Peripheral Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve Layer 1–3 network connectivity issues (switches, routers, Wi-Fi access points, structured cabling) and warehouse/retail peripheral hardware failures.

Vendor & Asset Coordination: Serve as the primary liaison for hardware warranty repairs, telecom/ISP service escalations, and vendor log tracking while maintaining an audit-ready IT asset inventory.

FDS Event & Site Deployments: Prepare, deploy, configure, and dismantle temporary IT infrastructure, network gear, and POS setups for high-volume sales events across Canada.

What’s In It For You? Career Progression: Initial 6-month contract designed with a direct path toward permanent full-time conversion based on performance. Expanded Technical Scope: Broad exposure across M365 administration, Meraki/Cisco network infrastructure, vendor management, and enterprise operations. Paid Event Travel: All travel accommodations, flights, and expenses fully covered when supporting out-of-province field operations.
