About the role

Waterdown Collision is a leading collision repair center in Waterdown, ON, specializing in vehicle body and paint services, and delivering exceptional customer support. As a Shuttle Driver & Shop Helper, you will play a vital role in ensuring seamless customer transportation and supporting our shop operations. This position is ideal for individuals who thrive in a hands-on environment and enjoy interacting with customers while contributing to the overall efficiency of a busy automotive facility.

Shuttle Driver Duties

Safely and courteously transport customers to and from the collision center
Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of the shuttle vehicle
Refuel vehicle weekly
Ensure dash camera is always operational
Monitor and report vehicle service needs (oil, fluids, maintenance)
Communicate clearly with customers and shop staff regarding schedules
Use company-provided phone for GPS/navigation
Maintain professionalism and report any customer concerns or service requests to management
Follow all traffic laws and company safety policies

Shop Helper Duties

Assist technicians with basic shop tasks
Clean and organize tools, equipment, and work areas (air lines, welders, extension cords, parts racks)
Dispose of materials in designated areas:
Metal and aluminum parts
Tires, fluids, and batteries
Cardboard and general waste (4–5 times daily)
Cut and dispose of plastic bumpers and trim
Move and organize vehicles on the lot:
Manage rental and loaner vehicles
Return vehicles to proper staging areas
Track and report fuel levels
Perform general shop upkeep:
Snow removal, salting, and entrance maintenance in winter
Daily mopping of reception and estimator areas during winter
Lawn care and garden maintenance in warmer months
Assist with inventory and supply stocking
Run errands including:
Picking up and returning parts
Delivering vehicles to sublet vendors (e.g., alignments)
Transporting parts or vehicles as directed

Requirements

Required Qualifications:
Experience in a customer-facing driving role such as shuttle driver, courier, delivery driver, or rideshare
Experience using GPS or navigation apps for driving routes and pickups/drop-offs
Experience interacting directly with customers in a service setting
Valid Ontario G driver’s license
Clean driving record and ability to provide a clean driver’s abstract
Legally eligible to work in Canada
Able to lift and carry up to approximately 25 lb
Availability to start work at 7:00 AM
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience performing basic shop, warehouse, or helper duties such as cleaning, organizing work areas, moving items or vehicles, and hands-on support work
