S****peech-Language Pathologist (SLP) - Community and In-Home

Help shape the start of a child’s journey. Pacekids Programs is a non-profit organization that supports children with diverse needs through therapy, education, and play. We work with families from early childhood to school age, offering programs that focus on each child’s individual strengths and goals.

We’re looking for a Speech-Language Pathologist to join our organization. In this role, you’ll complete assessments for children entering our program and work closely with families, educators, and team members to help create the foundation for their success.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments for preschool and school-aged children
  • Write clear, family-friendly reports to support programming decisions
  • Share recommendations and strategies with families and team members
  • Collaborate with other professionals to support a consistent approach
  • Support classrooms when needed to help implement communication goals

What We’re Looking For:

  • Completion of a Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent
  • Registered member and in good standing with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA)
  • Current professional liability insurance
  • Alberta driver’s license and reliable vehicle
  • CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
  • Recent clearances: Vulnerable Sector Check & Child Intervention Check
  • Experience working with young children and families
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills

Position Details:

  • Based at Pacekids’ North location and within in-community settings
  • Schedule: Monday to Friday,10:00 AM -5:30 PM is preferred but flexible from 0.5-1.0 FTE

Operating for over 25 years and funded through Program Unit Funding (PUF) from Alberta Education, & Family Support for Children with Disabilities (FSCD), Pacekids serves children with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, Global Developmental Delay, Down Syndrome, Speech & Language delays, and more through a variety of programs in the Calgary area.
