About the role
We're looking for a detail-oriented and mechanically inclined Operator I to join our Winnipeg Finishing Department. Reporting to the Finishing Supervisor the Operator I is responsible for the safe operation of two Cutters (computer-assisted guillotine used to cut lottery tickets and related materials in accordance with precise product specifications), the Autobander and TMSC. The position also includes performing minor maintenance and troubleshooting of the equipment.
Shift Vacancy: Wednesday to Friday nights (7:00pm- 7:00am)

What You’ll Do
-
Read and understand detailed game specifications to cut products in accordance with game specifications, ensuring that tight cutting tolerances are maintained
-
Give direction to and/or work closely with other team members
-
Ensure optimal performance of cutting, autobander and TMSC equipment through proper set-up, operation and pre-determined preventative maintenance routines
-
Meet daily production targets in a fast-paced environment with a commitment to safety and sound ergonomic principles
-
Keep area clean and organized throughout the shift
-
Effectively communicate all relevant game-status details and cutter running parameters to incoming shift employees
-
Understand and comply with all company/department policies and procedures
-
Crosstrain on other equipment, such as the TMSC and Autobander
-
Assist in other areas of the Finishing department as required during periods when cutting work is unavailable

What You’ll Bring**:**
- Completion of high school or general education degree (GED)
- Demonstrated mathematical and mechanical aptitude
- Experience operating powered equipment and hand tools
- Capable of conducting work with repetitive motions, standing for long periods of time and lifting up to 50 lbs
