The** Catholic Independent Schools of the Vancouver Archdiocese ** (the CISVA) operates 46 schools – 40 elementary and 6 high schools. St. Mary’s School is a Catholic independent elementary school in Chilliwack, BC, serving students from Kindergarten through Grade 7. JOB DESCRIPTION

St. Mary’s School is seeking a faith-filled and dedicated Grade 2 teacher for a short-term maternity leave position from September 1 to December 18. As Grade 2 is a sacramental year, a strong Catholic background and a commitment to supporting students in their faith formation are essential. The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic educator who is able to create a warm, gaging, and structured classroom environment, work collaboratively with staff and families, and participate fully in the Catholic life of the school. A willingness to support extracurricular activities and contribute to the broader school community is also valued. All applicants must meet CISVA hiring requirements and successfully complete the CISVA screening process.

On an on-going basis, we accept teacher applications for grade levels K to 12 for our Catholic schools throughout the Greater Vancouver Area and Powell River in beautiful British Columbia. All Catholics, non-Catholics, new education grads, and experienced teachers from across Canada are strongly encouraged to apply.
