The Role
Cameco has a two-year temporary opportunity available for an enthusiastic, team-oriented, healthcare professional to join our Northern Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for the health of all workers through prevention, recognition and treatment of illness and injury with the use of special skills and knowledge in the fields of health, education, counselling, environmental health, and human relations.
In this role, you will:
- Provide primary health care and maintenance of illness/injury of all on-site personnel, including employees and contractors.
- Develop and deliver educational programs related to your field.
- Provide patient counselling.
- Perform routine employee health tests.
- Manage and maintain medical monitoring programs as they relate to Cameco’s health and safety policies on site.
- Rotate between Cameco’s northern mine locations.
Required:
- Registered nurse, eligible for registration with the College of Registered Nurses of Saskatchewan (CRNS);
- Three or more years of relevant nursing experience, in a rural or remote setting;
- Excellent decision-making, interpersonal and communication skills; and
- Work a rotational schedule of one week on, one week off, and commute to site by aircraft.
Recommended:

Critical and/or pre-hospital care, International Trauma Life Support, TNCC, advanced cardiac life support, audiometric technician, or occupational health nursing certifications.
