Program Overview:
Global Markets (6 weeks)
As a Summer Analyst in Global Markets, you will have exposure to various desks within the Montreal trading room: Equity, Fixed Income, Foreign Exchange, Derivatives and Trade Finance. During the internship, you will help to conduct market research and analysis, prepare pitch books and materials for clients and assist sales and traders during their day-to-day tasks. It is a unique opportunity to learn about the different financial products and trading services.
Investment & Corporate Banking (10 weeks)
As a Summer Analyst in Investment & Corporate Banking, you will gain valuable exposure to a wide number of industries and work with a variety of financial products, including public and private debt and equity financing, mergers and acquisitions, and financial advisory. Responsibilities can include:
- Running valuation analyses
- Performing complex financial modeling
- Conducting industry and company research and analysis
- Developing client presentations
- Writing internal and external marketing memoranda
- Performing other tasks supporting client relationships and business development
Eligibility:
BMO Capital Markets supports students from communities which are underrepresented in financial services.
This internship is open to all female identifying students (graduating December 2027 or Spring 2028) who are bilingual (English & French) with a strong academic record. The internship will be located in Montreal, QC.

Salaries will vary based on factors such as location, skills, experience, education, and qualifications for the role, and may include a commission structure. Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. For commission roles, the salary listed above represents BMO Financial Group’s expected target for the first year in this position.
BMO Financial Group’s total compensation package will vary based on the pay type of the position and may include performance-based incentives, discretionary bonuses, as well as other perks and rewards.
