Duties
Join the Fight Against Financial Crime! The Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (FINTRAC) is at the forefront of ensuring the safety of Canadians and the integrity of Canada’s financial system. As Canada’s financial intelligence unit and AML/ATF supervisor, FINTRAC helps combat money laundering, terrorist financing, and threats to the security of Canada.The organisation is building up its internal language training capacity. FINTRAC’s Language School offers standardized programs of high quality with multiple opportunities and formats to learn and practice official languages.As the incumbent, you will be responsible for developing and delivering the language training program within FINTRAC. Reporting to the Language Advisor, the Language Trainer is responsible for carrying out all activities inherent to teaching, including: assessing learners' language levels, preparing and delivering face-to-face or virtual courses and workshops using the most appropriate teaching strategies, supervising learners by motivating, supporting and guiding them in their learning, preparing and marking examinations, taking part in teaching meetings and writing evaluation or progress reports.

EDUCATION:ED1 - Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution with acceptable specialization in education, linguistics or some other specialty relevant to the position.

EXPERIENCE:EX1 - Significant* experience in teaching adults French as a second language at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels;
EX2 - Experience using a variety of teaching methods and techniques;
EX3 - Experience in overseeing the progress of learners and providing feedback to guide them towards achieving their goals.Significant* experience is defined as the breadth and depth of experience normally associated with the performance of the duties for a period of at least two (2) years.
