Role As our new Proposal Specialist you will support the Mining Advisory team, which specializes in Mineral Resource & Mineral Reserve estimates, audits, writing of Technical Reports, advice for lenders, independent expert witness testimony, valuations, and engineering studies. You’ll be bringing proven experience developing responses to request for proposals, master service agreements and statement of qualifications related to these disciplines. We’ll also look to you to have excellent verbal communication and interpersonal skills, superior organizational and time-management skills, and the ability to work on multiple competing priorities with technical staff across the business.
This role is to be based in Western Canada.
Responsibilities
- Preparation of proposals and responses to clients in accordance with established style and content requirements.
- Participation in quality assurance, ensuring proposals adhere to client and SLR requirements
- Development of proposal outline documents, schedule/facilitate contributions of all parties, ensure RFP compliance, draft standard proposal sections, facilitate reviews, and perform quality control on final document
- Participation in proposal strategy and review meetings. Where several disciplines are involved in a submission, coordinate the information from the various disciplines in a manner that the submission has a uniform and coherent appearance, as well as a singular voice
- Conceptualize and integrate graphics to convey proposed solutions
- Manage the production of proposal documents and assist team members with dissemination of proposals where required
- Collaboration in the preparation of materials required for selection interviews;
- Assisting with the development and maintenance of proposal tools, data repositories and tracking of project experiences
- Managing, monitoring and maintaining opportunity procurement sites

- The salary range for this position is $70,000 - $90,000. Final agreed upon compensation will be commensurate with individual education, professional designation, experience, internal parity, and location

Qualifications
- Post-secondary degree in marketing, communications, journalism, public relations, environmental a science
- Minimum five years of experience in proposal development or similar environment
- Previous experience with consulting, mining or engineering and/or a demonstrated ability to understand technical terminology is required.
- Strong MS Office skills, and experience with Adobe Acrobat. Experience with Microsoft Project is preferred
- Experience with RFP compliance and quality assurance
- Strong researching, writing, proofing, formatting and editing skills
- Understanding of basic financial terms and functions, along with experience working with budgets and schedules (e.g., Gantt charts)
- Understanding of technical language and documentation
