Position Description As part of the ILS Integrated Product Team (IPT) within The Power Team at GDLS-C, the Project Management Senior Specialist will take on a lead role in ensuring the long-term supportability, reliability, and maintainability of our vehicle systems. The role will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with engineering, program management, and subcontractor teams to deliver exceptional logistics products and support solutions to our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the execution and coordination of ILS efforts within the Logistics Vehicle Modernization (LVM) Program’s Integrated Product Team (IPT).
  • Manage multiple aspects of LVM supportability, including reliability and maintainability, logistics analysis, technical publications, training, provisioning, supply support, and equipment fielding.
  • Oversee service support, repair, overhaul, and major repair programs.
  • Manage subcontractors to ensure logistics deliverables meet requirements and schedules.
  • Liaise with Program and Engineering teams to maintain alignment on schedule, scope, and technical issues.
  • Coordinate change and configuration control processes (CCP/ECP) to support continuous improvement.
  • Lead assigned projects for scope, cost, and schedule, using Earned Value Management (EVM) principles.
  • Support root cause investigations and recommend corrective actions.
  • Present logistics content at design reviews, customer meetings, and technical reviews.
  • Manage and respond to customer correspondence relating to ILS products and deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • University Degree or College Diploma in a relevant discipline
  • 7-9 years relevant experience
  • Working knowledge of Earned Value Management
  • Demonstrated project management skills
  • Strong communication, organization and prioritization skills
  • High level of interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
  • Proactive, with the ability to work with limited guidance
  • Ability to travel (15% Cdn) and (15% US & Int'l) and possess/be able to acquire and maintain a valid passport

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in ILS disciplines, including logistics, training, supply support, and in-service support
  • Proficient knowledge in the operation, maintenance, and support of heavy vehicles and military equipment
  • Understanding of R&M, maintenance and logistics analyses (e.g LCC, FMEA, MTA, LSAR, RBD, FTA, LORA, Sparing, etc.)
  • Experience with standards and tools used in the production of ILS products, e.g. S1000D, Arbortext, IsoDraw, VisMockup, MIL-STD-1388, -40051, GEIA-Std-0007b, and SLICwave
  • Experience dealing with customer support requirements and/or attending customer logistics conferences/meetings
  • Knowledge and/or experience in the application of relevant military standards, military equipment usage and doctrine
  • Prior experience with preparation of Bid & Proposal documents
