We are looking to hire a Temporary Full-Time Middle Years Teacher beginning immediately until October 31, 2025. Cando Community School has an alternate calendar and has several 4-day workweeks allowing for 14 Fridays off throughout the school year. The teaching assignment will include Gr 7 - 9 ELA, Social Studies, Art, PAA, and Physical Education, as well as Wildlife 10. Our school has a Kindergarten to Grade 12 program, attended by students from the Red Pheasant Cree First Nation, Mosquito First Nation, and surrounding areas. We are looking for a teacher who is skilled and adept at bringing First Nations history to all curricula through an anti-racist and anti-oppressive lens. This special candidate should be able to differentiate instruction in an alternative learning environment and be able to build relationships with students to provide meaningful connections to the curriculum for them. They should also be an advocate for student needs, finding innovative and creative ways to include student voice in school decision-making structures. Organization and flexibility are highly valued.

Living Sky School Division encompasses a wide geographic area including the Battlefords, many communities, villages, First Nation communities, and Hutterite colonies. We are located in the heart of wheat and oil country.
Currently, 28 schools are located in 19 communities. Our schools include PreK-12, elementary, high schools, and alternate schools with a population of approximately 5,300 students. Our diverse student population is reflected in a wide variety of programs that exist throughout the schools to meet the guidelines of the Saskatchewan Core Curriculum and the local needs of the community.
