About the role:
We are actively seeking a Superintendent, Mill Planning to lead all mill maintenance planning and scheduling activities, ensuring that resources are optimally allocated and operational priorities are fully supported. The role is accountable for managing the planning team, providing support to operation planners, and developing robust maintenance programs and shutdown plans. The goal is to maximize plant efficiency, minimize production disruptions, and ensure that all activities are conducted in compliance with safety and regulatory requirements.
This role is located at the Côté Gold mine site reporting to the Mill Maintenance Manager.
Responsibilities: -Develop and manage preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance plans, including shutdowns and turnarounds, to ensure asset reliability and minimal operational disruption. -Lead and coordinate the planning team to schedule, prioritize, and execute work orders effectively in alignment with operational requirements. -Maintain and optimize the maintenance backlog, asset hierarchies, BOMs, and planning data within the CMMS to improve efficiency and planning accuracy. -Build and manage multi*‑year maintenance programs and budgets, ensuring cost control and sustained asset performance. -Ensure availability of materials, tools, spare parts, and contractor resources through close collaboration with Supply Chain and effective inventory management. -Work closely with operations, execution, and reliability teams to align priorities, resolve scheduling conflicts, and support successful maintenance execution. -Monitor, analyze, and report on key planning and scheduling performance indicators to drive accountability and continuous improvement. -Ensure all planning activities comply with safety standards and regulatory requirements, promoting best practices, continuous improvement, and a strong safety‑*first culture.
QualificationsKey Skills & Knowledge:
-University degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Reliability Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent experience will be considered. -Registered Engineer (PEO) status or eligibility to register is considered an asset.
Relevant Experience:
-At least ten (10) years of related experience in maintenance or asset management in gold milling, mineral processing or heavy industrial. -At least five (5) years in a supervisory or leadership position. -Extensive experience with crushers, mills, conveyors, pumps, flotation, leaching, and gold recovery circuits. -Experience with condition monitoring technologies, including vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
Skills & Strengths, We Value:
-Provides strong, visible leadership to the planning function by coaching teams, driving alignment with operations and reliability, and holding the organization accountable to planning standards and results. -Knowledge of ISO 55000 Asset Management principles and Reliability Centered Maintenance (RCM) methodologies. -Proficiency with CMMS software (such as SAP, Pronto, or equivalent) for maintenance planning and scheduling.
