What You'll Get to Do
The Groups & Corporate Travel Lead is responsible for the set up and maintenance of corporate travel, group, and bulk ticket accounts in addition to direct support of applicable clients. This position will work closely with the Marketing and Reservation teams, providing exceptional customer service to corporate clients, maintaining applicable records, and providing monthly reports to clients and internal parties as required.
- Provide quotes and program details to potential clients interested in group, corporate and/or bulk ticket accounts
- Confirm and coordinate group travel bookings, including any special handling arrangements as required
- Manage, create and execute Corporate, sponsorship, contra agreements
- Working cooperatively with Revenue optimization with executing contractual seat sales, promo codes and other specialized rates.
- Managing corporate revenue and providing recommendations
- Managing, communicating and maintaining Churchill planning requests and contacts
- Assist in establishing and maintaining special group programs such as seasonal lodge travel, special sporting events, and polar bear/other tourist seasonal travel
- Record and maintain database of all group travel and specialty sales requests
- Act as primary liaison, facilitator and provide information as required for group, bulk, corporate, lodge, and specialty fares & sales
- Provide weekly/monthly activity reports for internal need and applicable corporate clients as required
- Assist with revenue management procedures related to group and corporate travel
- Manage with set-up, training and maintenance of online booking tool access/needs for applicable clients
- Manage Donations in providing necessary documentation, recording and maintaining the database, communicating to requests, and redemption
- Manage Contra redemption for applicable clients
- Manage and Maintain promo codes for applicable clients
- Trouble shooting AmeliaRes and AmeliaWeb and reporting issues to Intelisys
- Actively support the safety management system by following SMS processes and encouraging a safety reporting culture
- Promote occupational health and safety and participate in safety training
- Proactively communicate hazards and SMS initiatives within your department
- Travel to community engagements or help with Marketing events as required
- Special Projects as assigned
- Other duties as assigned
Skills & Experience we Value
- Exceptional customer service skills required
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
- Ability to multi-task, highly organized and meticulous with detail required
- Must possess strong critical thinking and analytical skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel) required
- Proficiency with InteliSys Amelia reservations software an asset
- GDS knowledge an asset
- Relevant experience in passenger airline travel industry an asset
- Ability to develop cooperative working relationships internally and externally
- Must be able to work independently and within a team environment
- High school diploma required (post-secondary education in related field an asset)
- Inuktitut language considered an asset
- Preference will be given to Inuit Land Claims Beneficiaries
