About the role

We’re partnering with a growing, family-run manufacturing company to find an experienced Inventory Coordinator who can take ownership of day-to-day inventory operations and help support the business during a period of rapid growth. With revenues doubling in recent years, this organization has built a strong reputation in its niche market and continues to gain momentum. This is a high-impact, fully on-site role where you’ll step into a business that has made significant strides in process improvement (including the implementation of NetSuite and RF-SMART) and now needs a dedicated individual to help formalize, optimize, and elevate inventory management practices.

Position Overview The Inventory Coordinator will be responsible for executing and supporting the company’s inventory management program, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and continuous improvement across all inventory processes. This person will serve as a key point of contact for inventory-related activities, bringing structure and consistency to an area that has historically been distributed across accounting and operations.

You’ll be hands-on in day-to-day inventory operations and partner cross-functionally while assisting with improvements in reporting, cycle counts, and overall warehouse processes. This role reports directly to the owner and works closely with a small, collaborative team.

Responsibilities Execute daily inventory operations, including cycle counts, physical inventory (PI), and variance resolution Process returns (customer and vendor), inventory adjustments, and assist with root cause analysis Support the development, documentation, and continuous improvement of SOPs and best practices across inventory workflows Maintain accuracy of job order processes and staging bin organization Track and report on key inventory KPIs, highlighting trends and areas for improvement Review and maintain item master data accuracy (descriptions, allocations, etc.) Identify opportunities to improve warehouse processes based on cycle count findings and operational insights Partner with purchasing on damaged goods, credits, and write-offs Review and analyze inventory reports in NetSuite and RF-SMART Assist with inventory optimization efforts, including storage, movement, and aged inventory management Collaborate cross-functionally with accounting, operations, and leadership to align inventory processes with business goals

Qualifications Proven experience in an Inventory Coordinator, Inventory Specialist, or similar role (manufacturing or distribution environment preferred) Strong understanding of inventory control processes, including cycle counting, returns, and warehouse operations Experience with NetSuite (preferred, but not required) Experience with RF-SMART (highly desirable; trainable but a strong plus) Ability to follow and improve established processes with attention to detail Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and continuous improvement Comfortable working in a 100% on-site environment Effective communicator with a collaborative, team-oriented approach
