We are seeking aHuman Resources Coordinatorwith up to 1 year of HR experience, who will contribute to our positive and inclusive culture. The Human Resources Coordinator will work with the HR team in the administration of Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs including BambooHR management, benefits administration, recruitment, reporting, and employee relations.

Reporting to the Director, HR, and as a vital member of the HR team, you will be involved in all aspects of Human Resources including participating in the development and implementation of multiple projects.

What You Will Do:

  • Act as a point of contact for employees regarding benefits, time off, BambooHR, and other programs and information

  • Assist with recruitment including posting job openings, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, initiating background checks, and drafting offer letters

  • Maintain and update job descriptions

  • Maintain and update employee records

  • Provide BambooHR support to employees and managers

  • Assist with utilization of the Learning Management System (LearnWorlds) including creating or uploading training modules, assigning training, creating reports and maintaining employee training records

  • Administers the milestone service awards, ad hoc awards programs, and employee perk programs

  • Process employment verifications and experience letters

  • Administer the employee referral program

  • Manage employee work visas expiry dates and renewals

  • Enter Human Resources accounts payables into Concur to initiate approvals and payments

  • Assist with benefits administration as needed

  • Support the HR team with employee relations, investigations, creating corrective action documents, and maintaining files

  • Create and prepare reports, analyze data, and make recommendations for purposeful change

  • Participate in Human Resources programs and projects

What You Will Bring:

  • Successful completion of a post-secondary program in Human Resources

  • 0 – 1 year experience in Human Resources, including co-op and work terms

  • Fluency in both English & French (written, spoken, and read) is a definite asset

  • Some exposure to multiple areas of human resources is preferred

  • Administrative or clerical experience (part-time or summers) is preferred

  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build trusted relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels using a collaborative and team focused approach

  • Enthusiasm for your work, creative problem-solving skills, and exceptional time management skills

  • Exceptional communication skills: you are a skilled listener, fact finder, communicator, and interested in further developing your presentation skills

  • Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, maintain confidential and sensitive information, and act with professionalism and discretion

  • Working towards or holds an HR designation is an asset but not required
