T. Musselman Excavating is looking for a full-time Shop Helper. The successful candidate will be working under a team of experienced technicians to help maintain a clean, organized and safe work space. They will have an opportunity to assist and work on a variety of heavy trucks, heavy equipment, pick up trucks, and small engines.

Responsibilities

• Grinding, painting and refinishing equipment

• Cleaning vehicle and equipment cabs

• Pressure washing pick-up trucks, dump trucks and heavy equipment

• Polishing wheels

• Cleaning and organizing the shop and yard

• Assisting team with welding, cutting and fabrication

• Assisting mechanics with oil changes, tire changes, and various repairs on a wide variety of heavy equipment and trucks

• Other duties will be assigned as required

Desired Skills and Experience

• Prior experience in painting and refinishing equipment is required

• Prior experience working in a shop and mechanical environment is preferred

• Experience with a wide variety of hand and power tools, mechanically inclined

• Ability to work independently and follow instructions

• Must be safety conscious

• Excellent team player

• Strong attention to detail

• Strong time management and organizational skills

• Must obtain WHMIS and Occupational Health and Safety training
