Pharmacy Technician - Outpatient Pharmacy - Temporary Full-Time 2025-15347
About the role
We currently have a temporary full-time position for a Pharmacy Technician in the Ambulatory Patient Pharmacy (Outpatient Pharmacy).
Key responsibilities of a Pharmacy Technician includes but is not limited to:

Performing functions while meeting standards of accuracy and speed;
-
Filling prescriptions using automation and workflow management software (Kroll & Innovations Smart Cabinet);
-
Compounding mixtures and other necessary medications;
-
Checking prescriptions as needed;
-
Completing necessary mathematical calculations;
-
Ensuring accuracy in cash register transactions;
-
Preparing daily cash reconciliation;
-
Preparing orders for delivery;
-
Inventory management; and
-
Ordering and receiving medications and supplies.
Must be available to work a Saturday shift as per the Pharmacy Technician rotation.
Qualifications/Skills
- Qualified to be regulated by the Ontario College of Pharmacists leading to licensure as a Regulated Pharmacy Technician within 18 months of graduation
- Registration as a Pharmacy Technician Intern after graduation
- Detail-oriented and excellent organizational skills
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
- Self-motivated to succeed and able to take initiative
- Reliable and punctual
- Previous customer service skills strongly preferred
- Knowledge and experience of retail pharmacy computer system strongly preferred (Kroll Pharmacy Software)
- Basic use of word processing and spreadsheets an asset
- Knowledge of third party billing preferred
