The Warehouse Handler is responsible for ensuring the timely and accurate shipment and receipt of goods. This role involves inspecting incoming deliveries for accuracy and damage, preparing items for outbound shipment, and following safety standards and shipping regulations. A strong understanding of shipping procedures, packaging standards, and logistics coordination is an asset.
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate the prompt shipment of goods to customers, both internationally and domestically.
- Inspect incoming packages for completeness, accuracy, and damage, and report any discrepancies.
- Prepare items for shipment using proper packaging methods to ensure safe transport.
- Follow and enforce all shipping and receiving policies and safety procedures.
- Use JDE & Microsoft software for data entry and everyday problem solving.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional logistics or warehouse training is a plus.
- Proven experience in a shipping and receiving or warehouse role with knowledge of proper shipping techniques, procedures, and industry regulations an asset.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with a willingness to learn and follow instructions.
- Ability to operate pallet jacks, and other warehouse equipment.
- Basic computer skills, Microsoft, email, data entry.
