About the Role:
The Wellington Retirement Residence is seeking a dedicated and reliable Prep Cook/Server to join our dining services team. This dual-role position is ideal for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and also takes pride in providing friendly, respectful service to seniors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation under the direction of the Chef or Cook
- Serve meals to residents in a professional and courteous manner
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen and dining area
- Follow food safety standards and hygiene protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure a high standard of resident satisfaction
Qualifications:
- Previous kitchen or serving experience preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays
- Food Handler Certification is an asset (or willingness to obtain)
- Compassionate, team-oriented attitude and respect for seniors
