Workplace Solutions Advisor (Space Planner) - Fixed Term 12 - 18 Months

Real Estate Services provides comprehensive property management services for government owned and leased properties, offering end-to-end real estate accommodation options to client ministries to ensure safe and secure operations through asset management, capital planning, and project management solutions. It also provides strategic asset planning services to MOI to maximize the value of government assets through portfolio planning and rationalization. IO currently oversees the management of the Greater Real Estate Portfolio (GREP) comprised of more than 42 million rentable square feet of space on behalf of the Province.
What You Will Do
- Provide feasibility space plans, planning advice and recommendations to the Manager of Workplace Solutions, client ministries, IO business units, interior design/architectural consultants and project management service providers.
- Provide change management support and expertise to client ministries, IO business units, interior design/architectural consultants and project management service providers
- The role will assist in conducting research, analyzing the client’s requirements and goals.
- Evaluating existing documentation, collecting functional program requirements and executing feasibility plans.
- Reviewing proposed solutions to ensure compliance with policies and initiatives.
- Assist with oversight of Occupancy Drawing Management program.
- Oversee optional service projects and assist in executing contracts with IO Governance and Service Provider.
What We Are Looking For
- The successful incumbent will have a post-secondary education with a degree or diploma in interior design or architectural design.
- 5 years of related experience in interior design or architectural design.
- Knowledge of the Ontario Building Code and Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) is required.
- Strong communication skills and proficiency in AutoCAD, MS Office.
- Excellent creative and design skills, the ability to read and interpret architectural drawing, and knowledge of functional programing and schematic design.
- Effective relationship building skills across departmental lines and client ministries.
- Membership with ARIDO is an asset.

We offer a competitive salary range of $71,300 to $ 107,000 (P3 level), pay will align with skills, knowledge and experience of the candidate.
