Sourcing Analyst
Mohawk Medbuy Corporation (MMC) is a national, not-for-profit, shared services organization that supports hundreds of health care providers across Canada, as well as child welfare agencies and other public sector organizations. MMC provides value-driven contracting and procurement solutions for medical/surgical supplies, pharmaceutical products, local sourcing, capital (equipment, FF&E and redevelopment) and nutrition solutions. Other services include data analytics, in-hospital support, warehousing/logistics, technology, procure-to-pay, and accounts payable.
With an emerging focus on sustainability and reconciliation with Indigenous Peoples, MMC is actively supporting the creation of a resilient value chain that incorporates environmental, social and governance best practices. Based in Burlington, ON, the organization also has offices in Toronto, Thunder Bay, Kingston, Brantford, London and Chatham, and a distribution centre in Oakville.
We are currently recruiting for a full-time Sourcing Analyst to support our Strategic Sourcing team in the Burlington or Toronto office.
Position Overview
Reporting to the Senior Manager, Sourcing Analytics, the Sourcing Analyst is a key member of the Sourcing Analytics team. The Sourcing Analyst performs a broad scope of activities requiring experience, professional knowledge, and application of analytical skills and techniques.
Key Responsibilities
- Analytical Support and Insights
- Supports multiple Sourcing Leads on single and collaborative procurement projects
- Provide full-cycle support to the Strategic Sourcing team, including:
- RFP development
- Support with ad hoc analysis
- Advice on Pricing Schedule and evaluation methodology
- RFP evaluation:
- Analysis of proponents’ responses, including:
- Financial submissions
- Understanding of clinical practice as it applies to the evaluation
- Compilation of all evaluation scores, including:
- Identification of outlier scores
- Identification of trends by hospital, Shared Service Organization and Proponent
- Data Management:
- Review and submission of load sheets and other data management documents to the MMC Data Governance Group

- Excellent analytical skills
- Self-starter, works well without constant supervision and able to perform well under pressure
- Ability to shift priorities as and when required by the business
- Proven ability to understand business operating and financial processes
- Highly motivated, customer focused team player
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- An eye for detail and strong time management skills
Education, Training, and Experience
- University graduate
- Minimum of three to five (3-5) years of hands-on experience in a financial or analytical role
- Advanced MS Excel skills required; proficiency in MS Access and SAP would be an asset
Preferred
- Master’s degree
- Previous experience working in a supply chain or strategic sourcing environment
- Understanding of RFPs, contracts and pricing terms and conditions
- Experience with PowerBI or similar analytics software
Travel
- Ability to travel to Mohawk Medbuy offices if required.
