POSITION: Inclusion Support Teacher

APPOINTMENT: 0.2 FTE Temporary

DURATION: September 1, 2026 to June 30, 2027

Qualifications Required:

1. Education degree plus a Master's degree, or an Inclusive Education certificate, or 5 upper-level courses (must include a Level B Assessment course);

2. recent successful classroom teaching experience in adapting curriculum;

3. ability to:

• lead in the development, implementation, and evaluation of Individual Education Plans, Learning Support Plans and Annual Instruction plans;
• select and adapt curriculum, programs, and instruction to meet the diverse needs of all students including those with complex diverse abilities;
• carry out a variety of assessments, including classroom observation, curriculum-based assessment and diagnostic teaching methods, and administration and interpretation of norm-referenced assessment instruments to Level B;
• guide and support education assistant work under the direction of the school principal and provide leadership to the student support services department;
• serve as school representatives when consulting with school district staff and community agencies;

1. effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills;

2. ability to integrate technologies and digital citizenship into educational programs; and

3. BC Professional Teaching Certificate and current eligibility for Teacher Qualification Service card.
