Job Description
Passionate about everything Food & Beverage and putting a smile on our guests’ faces? As Banquet Porter, you will have the perfect opportunity to touch the hearts of our guests by making their special occasions truly
unforgettable.
Note: the start date for this position will be beginning of September 2025 with the end date of January 1, 2026.
What you will be doing:

Consistently offer professional, friendly and engaging service to all guests in a variety of settings, including plated and buffet banquets for breakfasts/lunch/dinner, working lunches, coffee breaks, cocktail receptions, formal evening events/galas/weddings, and off-site catering events
-
Setting up, and tearing down banquet functions/conference rooms
-
Lifting and moving Banquets equipment, including chairs, tables, dance floor, etc.

Assistance with bartending duties
-
Follow all policies, procedures and service standards, including health & safety and food handling procedures
-
Ability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays. The schedule for this position will primarily be AM shifts.
Qualifications
Your experience and skills include:
-
Previous customer service experience is an asset
-
Must have Alberta ProServe certification
-
Must be physically fit with the ability to lift heavy items (chairs, tables, etc.), up to 50 lbs
-
Ability to focus attention on guest needs, remaining calm and courteous at all times
-
Proven teamwork mindset is essential with the ability to communicate effectively at all times
-
Strong focus on health & safety with a dedication to maintaining a safe work environment
-
Ability to work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
