About the role

Reporting to the Manager of Finance/Treasurer, the Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for the efficient and effective reporting and record keeping of the two Homes for the Aged, the two Homes Foundations and the Public Works Department.

Responsibilitie

  • sResponsible to the Manager of Finance/Treasurer for complete, accurate and timely financial record keeping and financial reporting of the two Homes for the Aged, the two Homes Foundations and the Public Works Department
  • .Responsible to the Manager of Finance/Treasurer to assist with Budget Development and prepare monthly budget allocations for the annual budget for input into the financial system for the two Homes for the Aged and the Public Works Department
  • .Responsible to the Manager of Finance/Treasurer to manage and maintain the Project Cost Accounting System for the Public Works Department
  • .Responsible to the Manager of Finance/Treasurer for the preparation of Year End Audit Working Paper Files and to respond to external auditors questions for the two Homes for the Aged, two Homes Foundations and the Public Works Department
  • .Responsible to the Manager of Finance/Treasurer for the preparation of Provincial and Federal Financial Reports and reconciling all differences found after their audit for the two Homes for the Aged and the two Homes Foundations
  • .Protects own health and health of others by adopting safe work practices, reporting unsafe conditions immediately, and attending all relevant in-services regarding occupational health and safety. Follows all guidelines for employees and employers as legislated under the Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act
  • .Performs the responsibilities of the position within the legislative and regulatory standards set out in the applicable Provincial and Municipal Acts. Performs the responsibilities of the position consistent with the Operational policies of the County of Renfrew

Qualificatio**

  • nsPost secondary degree in Finance and Business Administratio
  • n.CPA, CPA-CA, CPA-CGA, or CPA-CMA would be considered an asse
  • t.Education and experience in Municipal Government, particularly AMCTO training would be considered an asse
  • t.Three to five years’ experience with the financial application aspect of an organization is require
  • d.Knowledge of computerized accounting system, spreadsheets and word processing is require
  • d.Strong interpersonal skills, combined with good written and verbal communication skill
  • s.An ability to work independently, set priorities, manage multiple tasks and meet deadline
