Position Overview:
The Client Advisor will be responsible for driving Neuberger Berman Canada's distribution strategy by building and maintaining relationships with financial advisors in Canada. This role requires a dynamic and experienced sales professional with a deep network, exceptional relationship-building skills, and the ability to communicate complex investment solutions effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Proactively engage with financial advisors to promote Neuberger Berman’s investment solutions
- Develop and execute a comprehensive territory business plan to achieve and exceed sales targets
- Cultivate relationships with high performing "corner office" advisors across Canada
- Deliver impactful presentations to financial advisors, branch offices, and at client events, showcasing the firm’s investment strategies and market insights
- Conduct one-on-one and group meetings, both virtually and in person, to share product updates and sales ideas
- Stay current on market trends and competitor offerings to provide timely insights to advisors
- Collaborate closely with the Head of Intermediary Distribution and internal stakeholders to execute strategic sales initiatives.
- Maintain accurate client records and sales activity tracking in CRM systems
- Provide ongoing advisor support and handle complex client inquiries
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related field
- 5-10 years of successful experience in asset management sales, ideally in a senior external wholesaler or sales leadership role
- Deep, established relationships with high-performing corner office advisors in Toronto and beyond
- Strong understanding of investment vehicles (mutual funds, ETFs, Closed End Funds), investment strategies (fixed income, equities, alternatives - liquid alts and private market strategies), and portfolio construction strategies
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills with the ability to convey complex concepts to sophisticated investors
- Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a track record of exceeding sales targets
- Effective organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in CRM systems and sales tracking tools

Compensation Details
The salary range for this role is $190,000-$220,000. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. This range is only applicable for jobs to be performed in the job posting location. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, business sector, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, market benchmarking data, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. This job is also eligible for a discretionary bonus, which, along with base salary and retirement contributions, is part of our total comprehensive package. We offer a comprehensive package of benefits including paid time off, medical/dental/vision insurance, 401(k), life insurance and other benefits to eligible employees.
Note: No amount of pay is considered to be wages or compensation until such amount is earned, vested, and determinable. The amount and availability of any bonus, commission, production, or any other form of compensation that are allocable to a particular employee remains in the Company's sole discretion unless and until paid and may be modified at the Company’s sole discretion, consistent with the law.
