Position Overview

We are seeking motivated, detail-oriented Junior Mechanical or Nuclear Engineers to join our team supporting the landmark Major Component Replacement (MCR) project at the Bruce Power site. This is an exceptional opportunity for recent engineering graduates or early-career professionals to gain invaluable, hands-on experience on one of the largest nuclear refurbishment projects in the world.

The successful candidates will assist in the engineering, planning, and execution phases of replacing critical reactor components, ensuring all work meets rigorous nuclear safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the engineering and construction teams with technical documentation, work packages, and field engineering tasks related to the MCR project.

· Assist in reviewing technical drawings, specifications, and modifications for mechanical/nuclear components.

· Monitor on-site installation and execution activities, ensuring compliance with design specifications and nuclear safety regulations.

· Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, quality assurance, and tradesmen, to resolve field deviations or technical challenges.

· Track and report on project milestones, material tracking, and quality documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements

· Education: Bachelor?s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or a closely related engineering discipline.

· Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience. New graduates with strong internship/co-op experience in heavy industry or nuclear environments are highly encouraged to apply.

· Security Clearance (STRICT MUST): Candidates must hold an active, valid Bruce Power Security Clearance at the time of application. Applications without this clearance will not be considered.

· Familiarity with nuclear industry standards, codes (e.g., ASME Section III), and quality management systems is an asset.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.

· Willingness to work on-site full-time at the Bruce Power facility in Tiverton, ON.

Pay: $40.00-$43.00 per hour

Work Location: In person
