The Ministry of Finance, Client Services and Compliance Branch, requires a confident individual with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and knowledge of accounting and auditing principles, to fill a term position as a Business Auditor.

The Revenue Division of the Ministry of Finance is Saskatchewan's primary tax collection agency. The Grants & Incentives work unit is responsible for the administration of several grant and incentive programs, including the Saskatchewan Secondary Suite Incentive, Saskatchewan Technology Start-Up Incentive, Saskatchewan Class 1 Truck Driver Training Rebate, and the First-Time Homebuyers' Tax Credit Transition Grant.

Working within a team of Business Auditors, these dynamic positions handle the review of applications for various grant and incentive programs, as well as phone and email inquiries from program clients. In addition, these positions have the opportunity to research new and emerging trends to provide input to policy and process decisions which contribute to ensuring businesses and clients can understand and benefit from the province’s grant and incentive programs.

We are seeking a detail oriented and analytical individual that thrives on taking initiative, has the ability to interpret and apply legislation, and proactively identifies opportunities to address and communicate policy and procedure challenges. This may be the opportunity for you if you possess strong verbal and written communication skills to provide explanations, rulings, and information to program clients.

The knowledge and abilities required would typically be obtained through the completion of an Accounting Diploma or Business Degree specializing in accounting, or introductory and intermediate accounting classes supplemented with auditing experience in a taxation environment.

Prospective candidates with required education outside of Canada are strongly encouraged to obtain either an ICAS Assessment Report from www.icascanada.ca or a Credential Evaluation and Authentication Report from www.wes.org, including it with your application. This will aid in ensuring that your qualifications are appropriately evaluated and considered in the application process.
