About the role

Are you ready to kickstart your career? We’re looking for a motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Business Process Analyst co-op student . This position offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in coordinating and managing project-related tasks, contributing to planning and development, and supporting company operations. With a flexible term ranging from 4 to 16 months , this role is perfect for someone eager to learn, grow, and make an impact in a dynamic environment.

THE WORK:

  • (Internal Title: Project Management I)

  • Support the coordination and management of project-related tasks

  • Contribute to the planning and development of projects

  • Perform administrative tasks such as preparing and reviewing invoices, estimates, scheduling meetings, etc.

  • Keep track of and report on project progress

  • Conduct research to support the project team and company operations as needed

  • Complete any tasks assigned by manager or higher in an efficient and timely manner

  • Support business development activities by assisting in the preparation of proposals and responses to client RFPs.

  • Assist in planning and coordinating Energy and Resources sector events such as conferences, workshops, and networking sessions.

  • Contribute to the development of tools, templates, and resources to advance the Project Management Center of Excellence.

  • Conduct data gathering, analysis, and validation to support business decision-making.

  • Support process improvement activities, including documentation, process mapping, and redesign recommendations.

  • Liaise with internal stakeholders across multiple business units to gather input, confirm requirements, and maintain strong working relationships.

  • Prepare clear, concise reports and presentations to communicate findings to project teams and senior management.

  • Working Conditions

  • For internal corporate work, the position follows a hybrid model with one day per week in-person at our Richmond Hill office.

  • For project work, the client’s workplace practices and requirements will apply where applicable

  • Education:

  • Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in a related field (Engineering, Business Administration, Project Management, etc.)

  • Skills and Competencies:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Visio

  • Willingness to learn other project management software

  • Ability to arrange priorities and escalate competing risks to meet deadlines with input from leadership

  • Keen eye for detail and adept problem-solving abilities

  • Must have demonstrated experience relaying and receiving information (written and verbal)

  • Equipped to work independently and as part of a team
