Position Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Large Loss Emergency Supervisor to lead and oversee large-scale emergency restoration projects. This role will involve supervising field teams, coordinating with clients and insurance representatives, and ensuring that projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader with a proven track record in large loss management within the restoration or construction industry..

Duties and Responsibilities…

  • Supervision & Leadership: Manage and direct field teams on large loss emergency projects. Provide guidance, training, and mentorship to team members.
  • Project Management: Oversee the restoration process for large loss projects, ensuring efficient workflows, adherence to safety protocols, and client satisfaction.
  • Client Communication: Act as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely updates and resolving issues as they arise.
  • Coordination with Insurance Companies: Work closely with adjusters, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure that all project requirements and insurance claims are handled accurately.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols and industry regulations are followed on job sites.
  • Damage Assessment: Evaluate the extent of damage to properties and recommend the best course of action for restoration.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including scopes of work, estimates, progress reports, and final invoices.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor and inspect completed work to ensure high-quality results and compliance with company standards.

Health and Safety

  • Runs daily safety meeting
  • Ensure that self and others adhere to Canstar’s health and safety practices and procedures
  • Ensure good housekeeping is kept to perform work safely and efficiently
  • Understand safety policies and protocols
  • Ensure that self and others on site are wearing all required PPE, when required

Who we are looking for:

Preferred Skills:

  • Knowledge of building construction and materials.
  • Experience with project management software or job tracking tools.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings, as required by the project.

Working Conditions:

  • Travel within branches and client offices is required
  • Will sometimes be in wet and/or dirty environments
  • Will be working with and around hazardous materials including asbestos and lead
  • PPE is available for use and is mandatory
  • Must comply with the company’s dress code at all times
  • Must be able to work in an on-call rotation
  • Must be flexible to work overtime, evenings, and weekends on occasion.
