About The Opportunity Our growing client in Ottawa West is looking for a progressive Director of Finance to join their fast-paced, dynamic organization on a full-time, permanent basis.

Duties will include but are not limited to:
- Oversee Accounting team to ensure accuracy and submissions in a timely manner, providing support as needed
- Provide mentorship and development for Accounting team through thoughtful evaluation
- Production of financial statements
- Coordination and preparation of budget and financial forecasts
- Preparing Month and Year End close for appropriate department
- Financial Analysis, Risk Analysis, reporting, ad hoc analysis as needed
- Institute and maintain internal controls as well as streamlining policies & procedures, compliance
- Liaising with external auditors
- Working closely with internal and external stakeholders and presenting financial reports
- Communicate with Senior Management on all Finance-related strategies, including developing long-term growth models
About You The successful candidate will have the following:
- Active CPA Designation in good standing
- 7+ years of recent experience within a similar role for a medium-to-large organization- Construction industry a strong asset
- 3+ years of leadership of an accounting team
- Strong oral, written, and communication skills in English
- Strong problem-solving skills, critical thinking
- Highly organized, strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills, self-starter, collaborative- able to work with all levels of staff
