We’re looking for aData Operations Analystto join our team and be part of our next stage of growth. As our Data Operations Analyst, your top priority is turning data into clear, actionable insights that help our Senior Leadership Team make informed decisions. You will work across Finance, Sales, and customer facing teams to deliver reliable reporting, analyze business performance, and surface trends that support operational strategic planning.

This role combines hands-on data analysis with cross-functional collaboration and a high level of ownership over operational reporting. You will be responsible for extracting, analyzing, and presenting data primarily from Salesforce, while identifying opportunities to improve reporting, data quality, and operational visibility across the organization.

Skills Traction Rec’rs come from a variety of backgrounds, and we are eager to find people that are from diverse backgrounds. For this role, you might have:

  • 3+ years of experience working with SQL, relational databases, and large datasets in a SaaS or technology environment

  • Strong experience working with Salesforce data, including reporting, data extraction, and analysis using tools such as SOQL, Data Loader, or APIs

  • Advanced Excel skills including Power Query, pivot tables, formulas, charts, and data analysis

  • Experience building reports, dashboards, and visualizations using BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Looker

  • Experience working with SaaS business metrics such as ARR, pipeline, churn, retention, and product adoption

  • Experience leveraging AI-assisted tools to support data analysis, research, and reporting workflows

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify patterns, root causes, and opportunities for improvement

  • Solid business acumen with the ability to connect operational, financial, and customer data to business outcomes

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear insights for stakeholders

  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple priorities, and collaborate across teams in a fast-paced environment

  • Bonus points if you’ve worked in the nonprofit sector or with community-based organizations

What You Will Be Doing

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for data and reporting requests across teams and the Senior Leadership Team.
  • Own Salesforce reporting and data extraction for key KPIs, especially around usage and revenue.
  • Pull, join, and analyze data from multiple sources to support reporting and decision-making.
  • Build, maintain, and improve recurring and ad hoc reports using Salesforce and other analytics tools.
  • Track and analyze key business metrics, including churn, customer lifecycle, and product adoption.
  • Support Finance, Sales, Product, and customer-facing teams with data for planning, forecasting, and performance tracking.
  • Prepare accurate and timely reporting that supports executive dashboards, quarterly business reviews, and board reporting.
  • Identify opportunities to improve data quality, reporting processes, and operational visibility.
  • Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for stakeholders across the organization.

Compensation At Traction Rec, we are committed to a fair, market-based and equitable compensation structure. Our market data is refreshed on an annual basis to reflect the most current market conditions.

The starting salary band for this role is $80,000-$90,000. Starting salaries will vary within this range based on experience, skill level, and internal equity related to the role.
